After a Congress;

The 2nd International Emergency Medicine Congress organized by Turkey’s leading representative of Emergency Medicine, the Turkey Emergency Medicine Foundation (TÜAT), was held in Antalya from November 10-13. The congress, which aims to become a brand under the name Icon-EM, made steady progress. The congress began with opening speeches by TÜAT Foundation President Prof. Dr. Şahin Çolak and Health Sciences University Rector Prof. Dr. Cevdet ERDÖL, and saw intensive participation from emergency service workers from all over Turkey and the world. Featuring 14 panels, 58 sessions, 221 oral presentations, and 176 speakers, the congress contributed significantly to the promotion, education, and development of Emergency Medicine in a scientific celebration atmosphere. In his opening remarks, TÜAT Foundation President Prof. Dr. Şahin ÇOLAK provided information about the foundation’s activities, the issues facing emergency medicine specialists, sub-specialty goals, and the foundation’s future projects. Prof. Dr. Şahin ÇOLAK also discussed the foundation’s objectives for 2023, emphasizing that their congress is the largest organization in our country within the field of emergency medicine and the importance of standardizing emergency medicine resident education.

This year’s congress, which we held for the second time, was both scientifically and organizationally of high standards and was warm and intense. We extend our sincere thanks to all speakers who supported the congress with their scientific presentations, to all Emergency Medicine Clinic workers who honored us with their participation, and to all institutions and organizations that contributed to us with their collaboration.

Yes, the congress has ended, but our excitement and energy have not ended; our activities for 2023 will be announced soon, and we would be honored to see all Emergency Medicine clinic workers at these events.
